Midge Ure 'The Voice Of Ultravox'
+ special guest Pete Lincoln
Midge Ure, Ultravox front man, face and co-author of the Band Aid hit ‘Do They Know It’s Christmas Time’, coincides with The Sweet’s singer Pete Lincoln on March the 9th in Amsterdam.
Midge Ure doesn’t need an introduction. The grammy-winner has a rich musical past in which he sang and played guitar in bands like Thin Lizzy and The Misfits. He achieved great successes with his new-wave bands Ultravox and Visage, he scored various hits like “Fade To Gray” and of course “Vienna”. In addition, he and Bob Geldof organized the world-renowned Live Aid and wrote the world hit “Do They Know It’s Christmas Time” for the Band Aid charity project.
Just two months after Band Aid, Midge Ure once again had a number one hit with his solo record ‘If It Was’. After several successful solo albums such as ‘Breathe’, a reunion tour with Ultravox and his sold out performance at Night Of The Proms in Rotterdam, Midge Ure will return to The Netherlands on March the 9th. This time together with special guest Pete Lincoln, singer of the 70’s glam rock band The Sweet. The hits “Vienna” and “Dancing With Tears In My Eyes” will certainly not be missing.
